We refer to servicing when dealing with mechanical and optical dirt or hardened lubricants. On the contrary, a repair generally involves a malfunction or defect that cannot be resolved through cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment (CLA) of the mechanics or optics as part of servicing.
Therefore, the service rate does not apply to problems that are not due to dirt or to the natural aging of the optics or the mechanics.

Servicing is different from repairing.
SERVICING (CLA)
Repairs are assessed individually and only upon request. A quote will always be provided before any work begins.
Examples of issues not included in the standard service rate:
> A blocked shutter or winding mechanism.
> Light leaking onto the film.
> A jumpy advance mechanism (e.g., broken ratchets).
> Damaged curtains requiring replacement.
> A non-functioning rangefinder or a blacked-out viewfinder
(detached prism on M cameras or semi-transparent mirror failure on screw-mount models).
> etc.
A service typically includes:
> Cleaning the shutter axes, slow speed gears and winding mechanism.
> Lubricating these various mechanical components.
> Adjusting curtain tension using a speed tester.
> Calibrating the curtain brake (prevents rebound of the second curtain and ensures a softer sound).
> Gluing black or replacing the light seals in the film chamber.
> Cleaning the viewfinder and rangefinder.
> Checking and adjusting the rangefinder and frame display.
> Reassembling and testing all camera functions.
The price for a servicing along with a lacquering service is 170€ and 200€ TTC without a lacquering.

Toute réparation devra faire l’objet d’un devis avant travaux.
Le tarif révision ne s’applique donc pas à des problèmes qui ne sont pas du à un encrassement, ou un simple effet du temps sur l’optique ou la mécanique.

> D’une entrée de lumière sur le film.
> D’un armement qui saute (cliquets cassés)
> De rideaux hors d’usages à changer
> D’un télémètre non fonctionnel ou d’une visée noire
